Rural Health
The Center for Rural Health (CRH) within the School of Medicine & Health Sciences connects resources and knowledge to strengthen the health of rural and tribal communities. CRH is also North Dakota's federally designated State Office of Rural Health.
- National Indigenous Elder Justice Initiative (NIEJI) addresses the lack of culturally appropriate information and community education materials on elder abuse in Indian Country. We focus on the various types of elder abuse and provide technical assistance for the development and implementation of programs that address elder abuse and prevention.
- National Resource Center on Native American Aging (NRCNAA) serves the elderly Native American population of the United States. We are a voice and advocate for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian elders and the issues that affect them. The NRCNAA assists in developing community-based solutions through education, training, technical assistance, and research to improve the quality of life and delivery of support services to this aging population.
- Rural Health Research Gateway provides easy and timely access to research conducted by Rural Health Research Centers and is funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. Gateway efficiently puts new findings and information in the hands of our subscribers, including policymakers, educators, public health employees, hospital staff, and more.
