Office of Medical Accreditation
The UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences was granted full re-accreditation by the LCME in October 2022. Accreditation will last through 2030.
Through a process of continuous quality assurance, the Office of Medical Accreditation (OMA) strives to meet the expectations of the standards as set by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) in order for the UND SMHS medical program to achieve reaccreditation and to improve the education of its medical students.
Primarily through the work of its three subcommittees - the Student Accreditation Standards Review Committee (SASRC), Education Accreditation Standards Review Committee (EASRC), and Faculty Accreditation Standards Review Committee (FASRC) - OMA collaborates with the Dean’s Quality Improvement Group (DQIP) and the Undergraduate Medical Education Committee (UMEC) to identify areas that may require improvement and assists those groups in ongoing quality improvement efforts.
