Testimonials

Hallie Thompson, PGY3

I'm very happy with my decision to complete residency at UND and live in the Fargo/Moorhead area. The small size of the program allows for your co-residents to become like a second family, and the attendings that we work with become great mentors throughout the years of training. We receive ample learning opportunities in the bread-and-butter cases of internal medicine while getting exposure to rare and interesting pathologies at a large tertiary care center. With the end of my residency training drawing near, I feel very prepared to take the next step as an attending after training at UND.

Cole Amundson, PGY1

The UND IM program is one of a kind. There's never a doubt that my education and quality patient-centered care isn't the focus of my day. The people you're surrounded by at this program make you feel like you are in the best place.

Dre Steinwehr, PGY2

Residency at UND provides great training opportunities in a fast-paced environment and ability to train with a wide variety of generalist and specialist attending physicians.  You get the chance to work at a Level 1 Trauma Center that is a large referral center for 100's of miles around the four+ state area granting you access to advanced pathologies that are not always seen.  This program also offers a large amount of flexibility in scheduling so you can tailor your rotations to your interests.  Being a moderate-sized program also allows you to develop close collegiality with many of your attendings.  Aside from that, Fargo is moderate-sized city with most all the amenities one may need, though has a small-town feel where you will see friends, residents, and attendings throughout community events.
