Camaraderie with Fellow Residents/Fellows
Resident/Fellow culture and friends will continue to grow in our program. As a new program, we don’t have veteran residents in our specialty area, but UND does have a variety of other established residents/fellows in programs such as Transitional Year, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Geriatric Medicine, and Hematology/Oncology. More than 100 residents/fellows in these various programs are within the Sanford Health system in Fargo, N.D.
Resident Testimonials
| Ramsha Jamil, Pediatrics PGY2 |
Working at Sanford and with the UND Pediatrics Residency team for the past year has been a meaningful journey. People here treat you with kindness and respect. It's a place that genuinely makes you want to come in and do your best each day. I am grateful to be a part of this team. |

Residency at UND provides great training opportunities in a fast-paced environment and ability to train with a wide variety of generalist and specialist attending physicians. You get the chance to work at a Level 1 Trauma Center that is a large referral center for 100's of miles around the four+ state area granting you access to advanced pathologies that are not always seen. This program also offers flexibility in scheduling so you can tailor your rotations to your interests. Aside from that, Fargo is a moderate-sized city with most of the amenities one may need, though it has a small-town feel where you will see friends, residents, and attendings at community events. |
