Pre-OT Degree Options
A bachelor’s degree is not required to enter or continue the OTD program. Pre-professional students are advised to select a four-year course of study from a major of personal interest.
The OTD program has agreements established with four degree programs that will accept the first two semesters of the OTD curriculum in order to complete the requirements of said degree. Students will be advised by both their major department and will require advisement through the pre-professional occupational therapy advisor.
The four agreements with other programs are:
- BA in Psychology/OT Special Emphasis
- BS in Psychology/OT Special Emphasis
- Bachelor of Science in Inclusive Rehabilitation Sciences
- Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Allied Health/OT Emphasis
The fifth option illustrates a potential pre-professional course of study consistent with the Bachelor of General Studies with Health Studies Subplan, which includes required pre-requisite for the OTD. If students do not select a degree plan, the illustration demonstrates a potential pre-requisite schedule. Students need a minimum of 90 credit hours prior to admission.
