Curriculum

Required Clinical Rotations and Other Learning Experiences

The curriculum of the University of North Dakota Transitional Year Residency Program is designed to meet program accreditation standards set by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). As such, our program requires 28 weeks (7 blocks) of Fundamental Clinical Skills rotations. In addition we require 1 block split into two weeks of Night Medicine and two weeks of Research and Scholarly Activity. The remaining 5 blocks are for electives and/or other required rotations based on your future specialty. We pride ourselves in offering numerous elective blocks to allow each resident to tailor their education to their own learning goals and objectives.
