Medical Student Financial Aid
We are here to help you on your journey through medical school at UND!
The UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences provides a reasonably priced, quality education, offering more than $12,500,000 annually in financial assistance.
Financial Aid Overview
We understand that being a medical student can be very demanding and even stressful at times. We know your academic success is a priority, therefore, we hope to prevent or reduce any financial stressors that arise. We can assist you with the application process, short-term or emergency loans, budgeting and planning for your day-to-day living costs and unforeseen expenses, and help prepare you financially for your future.
Medical Student Financial Aid provides various financial aid programs through federal, state, and institutional awards which consist of tuition waivers, scholarships, and loans. Recipients of financial aid have several responsibilities that must be met prior to the disbursement of their financial aid. We ask that you check your student email account on a regular basis for important information regarding your financial aid.
We will work individually with you to help provide the financial assistance you need in obtaining your educational goals.
FERPA Statement
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. While parents/guardians/others understandably have an interest in a student's academic progress, they cannot be granted access to a student's records without consent of the student. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, prohibits the release of information without the student's written consent.
Student Employment
The School of Medicine & Health Sciences stipulates that first-year medical students should not plan on or undertake employment, and employment in subsequent years is strongly discouraged.
