WICHE Student Admissions
Students eligible for admissions under the WICHE process complete the same application form as resident and non-resident students. Interested WICHE-certified students applying to the program must satisfy the following process first:
-
WICHE applicants must be certified by their respective State and should contact their respective WICHE certifying officer for details of the certification process.
-
Following certification, WICHE sends out a list of certified students to the UND Physical Therapy program.
-
Alaska students should contact the Department of Physical Therapy directly for application information. Although the State of Alaska has not been funding Alaska WICHE students, UND-P.T. strives to continue admitting Alaskan students. Alaska students who would otherwise be WICHE-eligible should contact UND-P.T. regarding Alaska student admissions. Alaska WICHE program offers loan support for Alaska students. Eligible students should contact the Alaska WICHE office for details.
-
Students must apply through PTCAS and submit a UND School of Graduate Studies application form.
-
Once the completed application, transcripts, and reference letters are received from PTCAS, UND-P.T. will verify that applicants have fulfilled all course requirements for the program. Applicants from each state are ranked based on science and overall grade point averages, GRE scores, references, and experience. Applicants with the highest rankings will be contacted by the UND Department of Physical Therapy Chair and arrangements made for a personal interview either at UND or by video conference.
-
Applicants are selected by the UND-P.T. Chair in consultation with the other Physical Therapy faculty. Applicants determined the most qualified are offered admission into the program.
-
Following admission into the program, UND-P.T. faculty and staff work with the student to finalize the transition process including admissions, registration, housing, and financial aid.
