Pre-PT Advising

Unlike many undergraduate programs, pre-PT students are not assigned a single faculty advisor. Instead, students have the opportunity to meet with a variety of Physical Therapy faculty members throughout their undergraduate career, allowing them to gain diverse perspectives and a well-rounded understanding of the profession and department.

Although Alyson White is listed as your advisor of record in Hawk Central, she serves as the Physical Therapy Admissions Coordinator and does not provide academic advising for current pre-PT students.

Students are encouraged to schedule an advisement meeting at least one time per semester. To schedule a pre-PT advising appointment, please contact the Physical Therapy office by calling 701.777.2831 or emailing ptoffice@und.edu. Advising appointments are typically scheduled in 30-minute time slots from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some exceptions. The PT office will help coordinate an appointment time and faculty advisor that works with your schedule.
