We partner with over 250 clinical sites, the majority of which lie outside the greater
Grand Forks area.
The faculty are involved in research activities including motion analysis, electromyography,
balance testing and training, muscle strengthening, ergonomics, functional outcomes,
pediatric intervention, and physical therapy intervention efficacies. As part of the
curriculum, students are given the opportunity to collaborate with faculty to complete
research activities.
The Department of Physical Therapy is located in the School of Medicine & Health Sciences building. The building is a 325,000 square-foot, four-story building designed with a North-South oriented “Main Street” around which there are clusters of classrooms, small-group rooms, an auditorium, simulation center, anatomy labs, and learning communities. PT faculty offices and most of the classes are located on the third floor of the building.
