Director's Message

Dear Colleague,

The University of North Dakota and Sanford Health Family Medicine Residency Program is a new residency program nestled on the Red River in the Fargo-Moorhead community on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota. Our program aims to take the medical foundation laid in school and build on it with a focus on community health, resilience, and service. Our faculty is diverse in training and background in order to promote the diversity of practice that is enabled with a career in family medicine. We strive to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment with attention to wellness and self-care. Residency is intense, but we believe it can be a memorable and life changing experience. We actively seek resident feedback to promote change within the residency which is necessary to stay on task with the changes in medicine.
