Indigenous Health
The Indigenous Health Department is the first department of its kind in the world.
The Department of Indigenous Health, a first-of-its-kind opportunity in Indigenous lead research, education, and leadership is based at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The Department provides opportunities to promote synergy across research, education, service, and training that focuses on Indigenous health and health equity. It has created a unique platform to expand the innovative work we’re already doing in social research and clinical medicine, and to break new ground in the world of collaborative, culturally conscious, and cutting edge scholarship.
The Ph.D. is accredited through the University of North Dakota’s regional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission.
