Tulin Selected for Founder's Day Award

Alexei Tulin, Ph.D., Professor with the Biomedical Sciences Department within the University of North Dakota's School of Medicine & Health Sciences, has been selected to receive the McDermott Faculty Award for Excellence in Research and Creative Activity. This prestigious award aims to recognize "a tenured UND faculty member who has achieved original and high-quality research or made significant scholarly or creative contributions, especially the kind that has garnered state and national success and also made an educational impact." The selection committee noted Dr. Tulin's numerous publications in prestigious journals, his track record of external grant funding to further his study into epigenetics and genetics of cancer, and his work with postdoctoral fellows and students in his lab.
