Takaku Selected for AIMS Awards Program

takakuMotoki Takaku, Ph.D, with the Biomedical Sciences Department at UND's School of Medicine & Health Sciences has been named the recipient of the Artificial Intelligence Molecular Screen (AIMS) Awards Program. Two of Dr. Takaku's submitted projects have been accepted to the program.

According to their website, the goal of the AIMS program is to broaden the pool of scientists involved in the discovery of small molecules for the treatment and investigation of human diseases by working with innovative university scientists. Qualified researchers will receive 72 potential medicines, generated specifically for their research by artificial intelligence. The program is designed to dramatically accelerate the race towards life-saving drugs by analyzing millions of compounds for each disease.
