Sakuntha Gunarathna wins top doctoral poster award at CSMB meeting

Sakuntha Gunarathna, a graduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Motoki Takaku, assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, was recently given the Top Doctoral Poster award at the 67th Annual Canadian Society for Molecular Biosciences (CSMB) Meeting in Winnipeg, Canada. Per the conference theme (Gene Regulation: From Cells to Systems), Gunarathna submitted a poster entitled "Machine Learning-Enhanced cfDNA Analysis for Non-Invasive Cancer Detection."
