Welcome
Welcome from the Head of SMHS Library Resources
Welcome to Library Resources, the University of North Dakota's health science library situated with in the School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Library Resources provides expertise in teaching critical information literacy, curating information sources, and prioritizing library services. Our goal is to provide partnership to support the needs of researchers, fulfill departmental learning goals, and meet or exceed accreditation standards for the programs of the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) and the College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines (CNPD).
There are a few things about us that are unique among academic libraries. First, our collections are nearly 100% digital to serve our geographically dispersed community. Our digital approach to collections allows our librarians to have their office spaces within academic departments rather than in a central library space. They partner with teaching faculty to understand and integrate teaching with programmatic goals and collaborate with students on research and academic projects.
We encourage interaction with and communication from all members of the community. If you have suggestions or concerns about anything related to library resources and/or services, please share your thoughts through our virtual suggestion box below.
