
About the Health Sciences
As the health care system has evolved to better integrate the health sciences with physician-directed medicine, the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences has evolved as well.
Although many of these health sciences programs have been available at UND for decades, it was not until the mid-1990s that the School changed its name to reflect its diverse program offerings. These professional offerings include: Athletic Training, Medical Laboratory Science, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies. A Master of Public Health program was added in 2012.
The health sciences side of UND's School of Medicine & Health Sciences is administered by the School's Associate Dean for Health Sciences, David Relling, P.T., Ph.D., along with the following department chairs:
