Program Reports on Duty Hour Compliance

All programs are required to utilize MedHub for duty hour monitoring. Specifically, program
directors will be required to:

  1. Respond in MedHub to any duty hour violation(s) that MedHub flags.
  2. Ensure that all timesheets and responses to duty hour violations are entered by the 15th of
each month, reporting information for the previous month.
  3. If the aforementioned information is not completed, the UND GME Office will email the
program a reminder to complete within 7 calendar days. If a second reminder is needed,
the UND GME Office will alert the Department Chairperson. If a third reminder is
required, the Senior Associate Dean for Medicine and Research will also be included.

The DIO will summarize information to the Graduate Medical Education Committee at its
regularly scheduled meetings. GMEC will determine if programs need to develop corrective
action plans for duty hour violation(s). Additionally, programs may be subject to a Special
Review.
