North Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative
The North Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NDPQC) is a statewide initiative dedicated to advancing maternal and infant health through innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based practices.
We work across both birthing and non-birthing facilities in North Dakota, bringing together healthcare providers, community organizations, and policymakers to address critical health challenges. We believe in the power of data-driven quality improvement to identify gaps, track progress, and implement meaningful changes that lead to better health outcomes.
Mission
NDPQC's mission is to empower healthcare teams with the tools, resources, and support they need to deliver outstanding care.
Together, we are creating a safer and healthier future for every mother and baby in North Dakota, ensuring the highest standard of care, no matter where they are.
Perinatal Quality Collaboratives
Perinatal quality collaboratives (PQCs) are state or multistate networks of teams working to improve the quality of care for mothers and babies. Members of PQCs identify health care processes that need improvement within their state, then use the best available methods to affect change as quickly as possible. PQCs are critical for rapid dissemination of best practices and implementation of effective quality improvement initiatives to change outcomes for pregnant women and newborns.
Who We Are
The North Dakota Perinatal Quality Collaborative is a multi-stakeholder organization committed to improving maternal and infant health care across the state of North Dakota.
We invite rural facilities, healthcare leaders, and stakeholders to partner with NDPQC and become champions for maternal and infant health in the Northern Plains.
NDPQC is actively recruiting hospitals and non-birthing facilities to
- Engage in perinatal quality improvement (QI) projects.
- Enhance prenatal and postpartum care delivery.
- Address rural-specific barriers through targeted support and training.
- Foster a statewide network of providers committed to improving maternal and infant outcomes.
What is quality improvement (QI)?
In healthcare, Quality Improvement, or QI, is a systematic, data-driven process for improving healthcare delivery to achieve better patient outcomes.. It involves a cycle of identifying problems, testing changes, collecting data, and implementing improvements to make care safer, more effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered.
