M.P.H. Alumna Working at Brown University
I grew up on the Great Plains, and when I graduated from the M.P.H. Program I wanted
something different. I have friends who live in Providence, Rhode Island, and I began
applying for jobs there. I had several interviews over the phone and in-person, as
soon as I moved to Providence. I also had a few job offers.
My move included a 26-hour road trip with my daughter and rabbits. I decided to take a Project Coordinator position at the Brown University School of Public Health at the Center for Gerontology and Healthcare Research. I will be conducting interviews at various national sites related to nursing homes and hospitals. I will implement project designs, collect data, coordinate meetings, assist in drafting IRB applications, perform literature reviews, and will be responsible for qualitative data collection and analysis. This is a great position for my professional goals, and my MA in Counseling and my M.P.H. from the University of North Dakota have prepared me well.
