Study in Norway

Graduate Student Training in Norway

M.P.H. students have an exciting, limited opportunity to spend a semester in beautiful Bergen, Norway, at the University of Bergen. Participating students will study system dynamics modeling, a cutting-edge methodology that uses simulation to study complex systems, and a promising new tool for studying public health research, practice, and policy. This opportunity is funded by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) and includes the following:

  • Round-trip airfare to Bergen, Norway
  • A monthly stipend for accommodations and living expenses (10,000 Krone ~ $1200 per month) for five months
  • The three-course “Foundations” sequence in graduate-level system dynamics at the University of Bergen (UND tuition applies)
  • Opportunity to meet, learn from, and work with internationally-renowned experts in system dynamics modeling
  • Potential funding to present at an international conference (System Dynamics Society or Society for Prevention Research), including airfare, registration fees, and accommodations

This opportunity is limited to three students for the 2022 fall semester. Please contact Dr. Cristina Oancea at cristina.oancea@UND.edu for more information.
