Graduate Student Training in Norway
M.P.H. students have an exciting, limited opportunity to spend a semester in beautiful Bergen, Norway, at the University of Bergen. Participating students will study system dynamics modeling, a cutting-edge methodology that uses simulation to study complex systems, and a promising new tool for studying public health research, practice, and policy. This opportunity is funded by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) and includes the following:
- Round-trip airfare to Bergen, Norway
- A monthly stipend for accommodations and living expenses (10,000 Krone ~ $1200 per month) for five months
- The three-course “Foundations” sequence in graduate-level system dynamics at the University of Bergen (UND tuition applies)
- Opportunity to meet, learn from, and work with internationally-renowned experts in system dynamics modeling
- Potential funding to present at an international conference (System Dynamics Society or Society for Prevention Research), including airfare, registration fees, and accommodations
