Jyotika Sharma Farewell Card
It is with personal regret but warm wishes that I announce that Dr. Jyotika Sharma has accepted a position at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. While we congratulate her on this new position, was are sad to see her go. Her last day will be October 15, 2020.
Jyotika has been with UND for nine years as part of the Department of Microbiology & Immunology and later the Biomedical Sciences Department. During this time, she has had many invaluable accomplishments and has been an integral part of both the Department and SMHS's missions in the areas of research, teaching, and service. The Department will perhaps most greatly miss her leadership as primary investigator of the Host-Pathogen Interactions CoBRE.
We would like to show our appreciation of her outstanding commitment to the Department, SMHS, and University. Although social distancing requirements prevent us from having a farewell ceremony at this time, the Department will be presenting her with a gift and a digital card containing the well-wishes and farewells from Department and University members. She will certainly be missed by all.
We’d like to offer colleagues, students, and friends of Jyotika the opportunity to submit your farewell wishes via the submission box below. Feel free to include your name or keep your message anonymous. This box will be active until October 7, 2020.
Michael Ullrich, UND Department of Biomedical Sciences Office Manager
