Epigenetics Bioinformatics Core
The Epigenetics Bioinformatics Core at the University of North Dakota is a shared resource providing state of the art genomics resources to investigators here at UND, institutions across the northern Midwest, as well as external commercial clients. The core facility is a COBRE funded operation intended to help regional researchers utilize next generation sequencing technologies in basic and translational genomic research.
The core provides services, training and genomics resources to the scientific research community. Core staff are available to help translate the needs of individual investigators' research projects into executable tasks performable here at our University of North Dakota facility. The Epigenetics Core enables investigators with little experience in modern genomic techniques to design and prepare experiments utilizing these technologies.
Downstream analysis of genomic data is an enormous task. The Epigenetics Core has developed analysis pipelines to handle standard analysis procedures. We are also equipped with enough computational hardware to handle more advanced, novel bioinformatics approaches to data analysis. Assisting investigators with data rendering is just as important as the design of the wet biology portion of genomic analysis. We are prepared to help researchers analyze, interpret, visualize and store the massive amounts of data produced during genomic analysis.
